New Look, Same Mission: Prevent the Sixth Mass Extinction
At Conservation X Labs, our brand reflects our mission: to drive groundbreaking solutions at the intersection of biodiversity, technology, and innovation, all to prevent the sixth mass extinction.
Partnering with Scout Lab, we sought a brand identity that embodies the synergy between technology and nature—sleek, future-facing, yet deeply rooted in the natural world. Inspired by brands like Rivian, Yeti, and Patagonia, we designed a visual language that signals optimism, disruption, and bold innovation. Our imagery highlights humans and technology as allies in conservation, while natural geometries—fractals, bubble nets, plant symmetries—pay homage to nature’s own intelligence. This balance extends to our design language, where circles and squares with rounded edges bring the softness of the natural world to timeless geometric forms, bridging the organic and the engineered. The color palette is derived from the world we protect, with deep forest green and ocean blue serving as grounding elements, while neon green and ice blue inject a sense of positivity and possibility.
These design decisions are aligned with and reinforce our brand voice of being relentlessly optimistic, human, scientific, and bold—and also reflect the tangible impact of our work. In 2024, we advanced conservation technology and field-based solutions like never before. Our in-house innovations helped monitor wildlife, track species, and identify critical habitats in ways previously unimaginable. We supported efforts to protect and manage vast landscapes, strengthening conservation areas and safeguarding biodiversity on a global scale. These milestones, along with the breakthroughs we’ll highlight in our 2024 Annual Report this March, reinforce that we are not just a conservation organization; we are technologists, entrepreneurs, and scientists using innovation to leapfrog traditional barriers and drive revolutionary, not just incremental, change.
